New Delhi : Talks are progressing with regard to a secular alternative for the country, said CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. The aim is to defeat BJP in 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Conditions prevalent in states are varied and CPI(M) will decide on political alliance accordingly, said Yechury at a press conference after his meeting with D Raja and Nitish Kumar.
The BJP government has no program to alleviate distresses of the people, Yechury told reporters, Instead, it tries to divert attention from them by taking advantage of divisions, he added.
