Chennai : Tamil Nadu on Saturday reported BA-4 variant of Omicron in Chengalpattu, tea Chennai. Found to be infected are a mother and daughter pair, both of who have no travel history and are vaccinated with 2 doses.
The Union Health Ministry has meanwhile directed all states and union territories to up vaccination.
