Terrorist Attack in Kathua: Police Officer Killed

Srinagar>Another terrorist attack has occurred in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir resulting in the death of a police officer. Head Constable Bashir Ahmad of the Jammu and Kashmir Police was killed in the encounter, during which security forces eliminated two terrorists. The incident occurred yesterday evening. An assistant sub-inspector was injured. Reports indicate that the clash is ongoing in the area.

Security forces have jointly launched a search operation in the area. The deployment follows intelligence reports indicating that terrorists are hiding nearby. Subsequently, an exchange of gunfire occurred between the terrorists and the security forces. The attack took place in the Kog Mandli village near Billawar Tehsil.
