NEW DELHI : The Ministry of Education on Monday postponed the National Eligibility Test(NET) after its dates clashed with the ICAR(Indian Council of Agricultural Research) exams.

The NET slated to be held from September 16 to 25th will now begin 24 September onwards. ICAR exams will be held on their pre-scheduled dates of 16,17, 22 and 23 September.

The revision came after some candidates notified the ministry of their wish to appear for both the exams.

The exact schedule of subject and shift-wise details will be uploaded shortly, said Senior Director at National Testing Agency(NTA), Sadhana Parashar.

Both NET and ICAR along with other competitive exams were originally scheduled for the month of June. The dates were called off and put on hold owing to pandemic conditions. The new schedule for the exams were later released by NTA in the last week of August.
