New Delhi: Notwithstanding distress to people or their protests, the centre has hiked fuel prices yet again - petrol by 35 paise and diesel by 37 paise per litre. With this, cost of petrol in Thiruvananthapuram is now Rs 100.15 and diesel Rs 95.24/L.
In Kochi petrol retails at Rs 98.27 and diesel Rs 93.48 per litre and petrol in Kozhikode quotes at Rs 98.58, diesel Rs 93.79/L. This is the 14th hike in fuel prices just this month. Petrol in seven states have crossed Rs 100.
At national capital of Delhi petrol sells at Rs 98.11 and diesel Rs 88.65. Hyderabad surpassed Rs 100 mark for petrol in the last week itself.
Meanwhile, LDF is set to organise record agitation on Wednesday across the state to protest the unabated hike spree. The protest to be venued along 5 lakh centres will see participation from over 20 lakh people
