NEW DELHI : The motion seeking to suspend MPs, who protested against government’s anti-farmer bills, was presented by Deputy Minister for External Affairs, V, Muraleedharan. The motion was later passed by voice vote resulting in ouster of 8 MPs from House proceedings for the next 7 days.
At the same time, the Speaker dismissed a no-trust motion put up against Rajya Sabha Vice Chairman. All eight MPs were suspending for vehemently opposing the contentious farm bills. Suspended parliamentarians from Kerala include CPI(M)MPs, Elamaram Kareem and KK Ragesh.
