Kolkata: CPI(M) and Left allies will work to isolate Trinamool and defeat BJP in Bengal in the coming Assembly elections, said CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. All secular and democratic parties should come together for this, Yechury added.
BJP and Trinamool continue to pursue anti-people policies. CPI(M)’s chief goal is to defeat BJP and a moderate approach to Trinamool will only serve to help BJP. The public sentiment is high against misgovernance in the state . CPI(M) will assemble other Left and secular, democratic parties to conduct unified campaign. Certain media are making deliberate attempts to impress that contest in Bengal is mainly between Trinamool and BJP, said Yechury at a press conference in state capital.
