New Delhi: The CPI(M) Politburo demanded withdrawal of all cases against social activists held in Bhima Koregaon incident. It has been now confirmed by international expert that the so-called digital “evidences” extracted from activist Rona Wilson’s computer were in fact planted there using a malware after hacking the system, said Politburo in its statement. In the wake of findings, the Politburo urged Maharashtra govt to appoint a special investigation team to probe the matter.
The e-mails found on Rona Wilson’s computer are files were never seen by him before. A lab in U.S. now has forensically affirmed that the said mails were planted using malware. Unknown to Rona Wilson, the emails were sent to his personal computer two years before his arrest, the very ‘extracts’ that NIA used held out in their ‘conspiracy ‘ charges against him.
The Modi government has thus used deadly weapon of manipulation using technology to plant false evidences in the Bhima Koregaon case. The prospect is scary in that, digitally manipulated ‘evidences” could be used by it against political enemies in future. Unlike what happened in the primary investigations, a special investigation should be launched to bring out the whole truth, the Politburo demanded.
