Woman’s Dismembered Body Found In Trolley Bag At Makootam In Kannur

Kannur : Human remains of a female were found stuffed inside a suitcase by roadside at Makootam - Peumbadi mountain pass in Kannor along the Kerala - Karnataka border. The stretch is main interstate highway running from Kannur to Bengaluru.

The suitcase was dumped roughly 15 km from Kerala border in the forest region. The body was chopped into four pieces and death appears to have occurred at least two weeks ago. Forest officials in Karnataka made the grim discovery while tracking origin of foul smell in the area.

Virajpet police are conducting investigations, trying to first find out who the victim is. The body has been shifted to Virajpet Taluk hospital for postmortem meanwhile.
