Kathmandu : The search and rescue teams of Nepal Army have found wreckage of the missing Tara Airlines plane in the country’s Mustang district. As rescuers pulled out 16 bodies charred beyond recognition, no survivors were found in the debris.
The ill-fated turboprop Twin Otter 9N-AET had four Indian nationals, two Germans and 13 Nepali passengers other than the 3-member Nepali crew. “We suspect all passengers on board the aircraft have lost their lives,” said Home Ministry in a statement.
The crash site was found early this morning, nearly 20 hours since the plane went off the radar. It had lost contact with air control tower 15 minutes into the flight at 10 am Sunday.
