Asian Games; India Men’s Hockey Team Wins Gold, Defeats Japan

Hangzhou : The Indian men’s team clinched gold for hockey in Asian Games after 9 years defeating Japan in a magnificent 5 -1 score. This is India’s fourth  time gold in hockey, the others being in 1966, 1998 and 2014.

Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored 2 goals and Manpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas and Abhishek netted one each. The emphatic victory seals entry into Paris Olympics next year.
