Asian Games 2023: India Wins Gold In Cricket, Badminton, Archery and Kabbadi

Hangzhou : India added to its medal gains to reach 103 on day 14 at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou on Saturday.

Archery : India’s Jyothi Surekha and Ojas Pravin Deotale scored gold in their woemn’s and men’s events respectively. Abhishek Verma bagged silver and Aditi  Gopichand got Bronze.

Kabbadi : The women’s kabaddi team won gold defeating Chinese Taipei team in the final. The men’s team in Kabadi also clinched gold dfeating Iran in a controversial final.

 Badminton: Chirag Shettty and  Satwiksairj Rankireddy secured the historic gold, winning mixed doubles final

Cricket : Men’s cricket team won gold from superior rankings at 120 vs 5 with Afghanistan after the final was halted due to rain.

Hockey: Indian women’s team defeated Japan to clinch bronze.

Wrestling : Deepak Punia defeats Uzbekistan’s Javrail Shaplev in men’s freestyle 86kg semifinal to now enter final.

Yash loses to Tajikstan’s Magomeet in men’s freestyle 74kg quarter final.

Sumit loses to Kyrgyzstan’s Alaal Lazarev in mens freestyle 125 kg pre-quarters.

Vicky loses  to KazakKazakhYergali in his men’s freestyle 9-equartes.
