Genoa’s Stefano Sturaro not far behind, scored an equalizer just four minutes later. Juve clenched victory with two penalties taken later in the game, both scored by Cristiano Ronaldo, who with this, has played his 100th match for Juventus.
Talking numbers, Juventus was seen to be dominating the game with 71% possession, 18 shot attempts (10 on target), 626 passes, which is more than twice of Genoa’s. Juventus took 10 corner kicks while Genoa took none. Both teams committed equal number of fouls and coincidentally received 3 yellow cards each. No reds were seen coming out of the referee’s pockets.
