Web Desk‌Updated: Monday Nov 11, 2019

Over 82  fires are blazing across the drought-ravaged Australia and are expected to affect Sydney this week.  Authorities forecast ‘most dangerous bushfire week ever seen”

40 schools in new South Wales are shut after flames killed three people and injured dozens  and destroyed more than 150 homes.

With height of summer still weeks away, the country’s fire season is expected to be one of the worst on record.

More than 12 emergency level fires have been reported, with people injured and trapped in their homes.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he was receiving regular updates and urged residents to listen to emergency services.

Australia’s arid interior combined with rapidly heating ocean currents makes it a global hot spot.
