Manama: Bahrain’s Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) extended the validity of all valid and expired visit visas for three more months, official news agency BNA reported.

The extension will be effective from July 21, 2020 until October 21, 2020.

It also reported that all visitors with expired and valid visas will be automatically renewed without the need to submit an application and is free of charge.

Visitors who wish to stay in the Kingdom after October 21, 2020 will be allowed to apply for renewal of their visit visa through the eVisa portal, NPRA said.

The move aims to reduce the implications of the coronavirus pandemic to enable visitors to correct their status free of charge.

The decision comes in line with the directives of the Government Executive Committee to promote national efforts against the spread of novel coronavirus.

Earlier in May, the validity of all visitors’ visas had been extended for three months and all resident permits until the end of the year.
