Manama :People who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus will not be required on-arrival PCR test in Bahrain starting from Eid Al-Fitr day, according to new guidance issued on Tuesday.
The National Medical Task Force for Combating Coronavirus announced that PCR test for on-arrival to the kingdom will no longer be required for those who have vaccinated or those who have recovered from the virus. Vaccination certificates can be presented via the ‘BeAware’ application, they added.
According to the guidelines, cinemas, spas and indoor swimming pools will be open from the first day of Eid Al Fitr for people who have been vaccinated and those who have been recovered from coronavirus. They will be allowed along with their children who are aged under 18.
Indoor services like dining in restaurant and cafes, gym, pools, sporting events and private indoor entertainment facilities, conferences and functions have been restricted to people who have vaccinated or those who have recovered from the virus, they announced. Those who are not vaccinated will not be permitted to the indoor services from Eid Al Fitr, the task force said.
All decisions will remain subject to periodic review, in a manner that preserves the health and safety of all, they added.
