Brendan Fraser Wins Oscar for Best Actor; Michelle Yeoh Makes History Winning Best Actress Oscar

Los Angeles : The 95th Academy Awards at Doly Theatre in Los Angles awarded  American actor Brendan Fraser the Oscar for best actor.  The award came by for Fraser’s  role in “The Wahale” directed by Damen Aronofsky and adapted by Samuel D Hunter from his own play .

- In the movie, Fraser  stars as a morbidly obese teacher. He won the Oscar defeating close contenders including Elvis’s “Astin Butler” and “The Banshees of Insherin” of Collin Farell.

Michelle Yeoh makes history with best actress Oscar becoming the first woman of Asian descent to win the award.

Yeoh became acclaimed for her performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. She also enters history books for becoming the first Malaysian-born actress to be honoured with Oscar.

Yeoh is the fifth of Asian descent to win an Oscar in an acting category and first to win in the lead acting category.
