Thalassery: In its bid to prevent continued governance Congress is resorting to politics of inciting riots through the state, said CPI(M) acting state secretary, A. Vijayaraghavan. He was speaking at a press conference as part of “Vikasana Munnetta Jatha” in northern leg of the rally.
Chennithala’s claim of regularizing 3 lakh contractual jobs is absolute lies and one of UDF’s cheap tactics to prevent continued rule. If it be true, Chennithala should come up with records to substantiate his statements. Chenithala’s rally is essentially meant for those wishing to join BJP. That’s the kind of show he put on, once his rally was past the Malabar region. Congress and Youth Congress have unleashed violent attacks on government in the name of PSC issues. However, government can respond only in line with law.
They are attempting to slowdown development in the state. This is a government that provided largest number of employment during its tenure and is not one that accepted bribes and extended rank list period in the past. Persons putting up demonstrations now are ones whose rank lists expired six months back. They are being misled by Congress.
When has Congress ever shown political etiquette or values ? Their signature style is to scramble and divide up power among themselves. That party has leaders who came through freedom movement. They have been held on for 6 decades. Others are simply the ones who carry their briefcases. What other kind of leaders does Congress have ? Each of them is engaged in opportunistic politics to retain their position and yet put on airs of like that of a gentleman.
The state witnessed corruption-free governance in these 5 years under Pinarayi Vijayan. That’s the record they seek to shatter somehow.
Congress has a number of problems of their own. There is conflicting pressures from various groups internally. The party is of the kind that formed a high-level committee with Oomen Chandy at helm and accorded a reception at the airport to ensure Chennithala heading the current rally does not end up as chief minister.
On any given issue, the Opposition leader gives a certain opinion followed by KPCC president giving a different one and Oomen Chandy totally another. This is the tactic of fooling public. And, that’s just what they are doing right now, said Vijayaraghavan.
