BEIJING  :  In China, the epicenter of coronavirus, death toll from infection climbed to 361. 57 deaths were reported on Sunday alone. 2,829 additional cases of the virus were reported in the weekend taking the total tally so far to 177,205 so far. The National Health Commission in China released theses figures.

Following the deadly breakout, several countries around the world have stopped their flights to China. Saudi Arabia was  last to announce its ban China travel. No flights to or fro China shall be operated until further notification, said Saudi authorities.

Meanwhile, people in Wuhan, where maximum no. of deaths and infection has occurred, have been pushed into further distress by shortage of masks and preventive accessories. While tonnes of these medical kits lie stacked up, lack of coordination on part of Red cross, is being blamed for the situation.

The shortage is most acute in the seven hospitals of Wuhan dedicated to treatment of coronavirus. While risking own lives for treating the sick, shortage of skilled staff and lack of Red Cross coordination has resulted in this more dangerous situation, said doctors and nurses at the hospital. Red Cross is also blamed for not  being able to deliver essential items collected from various parts of the country, to those who deserve.
