Covid Recoveries in Bahrain Cross 300

Manama: Bahrain has announced the recovery of 32 people from the deadly coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 316, which was highest recovery rate in the GCC as of today.

Bahrain reported 52 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday. The active cases now stands at 247, according to the ministry of Health special web page for the COVID updates.

Among the newly diagnosed patients, forty seven are foreign workers, according to the Health Ministry. They were on quarantine following contact with people diagnosed with the disease. Those currently under surveillance will remain in the quarantine for another two weeks, said ministry.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that it immediately took all preventive measures in this case, placed them under observation, and conducted laboratory tests to ensure their safety, and it was decided to extend their stay in the quarantine for two weeks.

The Ministry of Health said it has been providing better treatment to both citizen and residents alike.

The Ministry of Health said that 34,159 people had been tested for the virus in the country.

Bahrain reported four deaths so far. It was the first country in the Arabian Gulf to report a virus-related death.

Meanwhile, the Inspection Department at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has announced on its social media accounts that tours were intensified over the morning and evening periods and included different areas in shops and hypermarkets.

Inspection teams will ensure the availability of basic products in the market and reviewing the movement of supply and demand in the market and the availability of food commodities.

This move is in order to monitor any violation and to ensure that stores display goods during this period.
