WEST BANK : : Israli forces razed down houses of two Palestinian prisoners as part of their collective punishment policy.
According to locals, armed Israeli vehicles stormed the town of Birzeit, cordoned the two houses before demolishing them with explosives. Dozens of Palestinian reportedly confronted the soldiers, throwing stones and burning tyres, in attempts to halt the demolition, to which the Israeli forces responded with tear gas and stun grenades.
The Palestinian prisoners remain in custody, facing trial over allegations of carrying out an attack in the West bank that killed an Israeli citizen and injured another. The families of the two men were notified of the demolition order in October.
