Indians With Expired Visas Must Leave UAE by 10 Aug or Face Penalty

Dubai : Indians in UAE with expired visit visa might have trouble waiting with consulate asking them to leave the country or face penalty after the deadline set next week. Those with visit visas expired by 1 March are required to leave before 10th of August to avoid penalty, the UAE Consulate informed. While hassles in air travel to India  have been resolved to a large extent, scores of Indians still remain stranded in the country for want of money or other reasons, said the consulate.

Over 2.75 lakh Indians have returned home after flights resumed post the lockdown. Currently,  large number of Vande Bharat Mission planes are fetching stranded community back home and will be allowed to do so up to 15 August, the consulate said. Apart from Vande Bharat, Emirates, Fly Dubai, Air Arabia, Spice Jet, Indigo, Go Air and Vistura too have their flights commencing from Ras al Kaima Airport in Sharjah. Those wishing to leave UAE should visit its website for help and guidance, the UAE Consulate said in its notification.
