Thanjavoor : Fourteen years after being officially dead, LTTE Supremo Velupillai Prabhakaran could emerge live and kicing if claims of the Nationalist Movement Leader P Nedumaran is true. Nedumaran on Monday said Prabhakaran was alive and healthy, and that he will make public appearance at an appropriate time.
Nedumaran said he has been in touch with Prabhakaran’s family all while though it was not possible to say where exactly he resides.
If Nedumaran’s account be true, Prabhakaran will pick up the fight for Tamil State right from where he left it a decade-and-half ago. With Rajapaksha govt gone, time is ripe for Prabhakaran to show up, said Nedumaran. “We are happy to announce this to the world. Prabhakaran will come and announce his plans for Tamil Eelam.”, said Nedumaran.
In May of 2009, the Sri Lankan army released videos of the slain LTTE leader. and the government said DNA tests confirmed he was dead. The Lankan government was then led by Mahinda Rajapaksa as President.
