Refusing To Concede Defeat Pro-Trump Mob Storms U.S Parliament

The US Capitol locked down  after  pro-Trump supporters in thousands stormed the parliament building, halting the certification of President-elect Joe Bidens’s victory in Congress.

The drama played out Indian time 1 am Thursday. Senators and members of the house were locked inside their chambers, the Vice President Mike Pence was evacuated and the Washington mayor imposed a curfew for the city.

President Trump had earlier gathered his supporters vowing to “never concede” defeat and prompted them to march to the Capitol.  As the mayhem broke out, Biden called on Trump to go on national television and put an “end to this siege”. Trump later posted a video appealing to the mob to “go home now” adding: “We have to have peace”.

The crowd that broke into offices, stole artifacts and one woman has been critically injured after officers drew their guns faced with mob. Police arrested 30 for the rampage.
