SFI(UK), Indian Workers Assoc Pay Homage To Ram Mohamed Singh Azad Outside Pentoville Prison

The Indian Workers Association GB 1938, Students Federation of India UK supported by the Himalayan Echoes paid their respect to Shaheed Udham Singh aka Ram Mohamed Singh Azad outside Pentonville Prison where he was hanged on 31st July 1940. Tributes were paid to Madhan Lal Dhingra also hanged at the same prison on 17 August 1909.

 A pledge was made to hold this event at the same location annually on 31st July each year.  People recalled the Jallianwala Bagh  Massacre and the campaign for the long awaited apology, the inspiration of Shaheed-e-azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and the young Gadher martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha.

 CPI (M) overseas wing National Secretary, Comrade Harsev Bains addressed the gathering and candle light vigil. Comrade Vishal addressed the gathering from SFI UK.

SFI UK London sub-committee convener  comrade Jishnu and co Conveners Jibin Jose and Sidhu attended the gathering along with SFI UK comrades across London Universities.
