Kabul : Taliban troops on Friday executed a relative of Deutsche Welle(DW) journalist after failing to find him in thier hunt. The Taliban men conducted house-to-house search for the journalist, who currently works in Germany.
A second relative was seriously wounded in their firing while others managed to escape, said DW.
“The killing of a close relative of one of our editors by the Taliban yesterday is inconceivably tragic, and testifies to the acute danger in which all our employees and their families in Afghanistan find themselves, said theDW director general Peter Limbourg.
The killing comes as part of Taliban hunt for all people who might have worked with the US and NATO forces.
