Manama : A tragic accident Friday involving car and truck in Bahrain;s Al Hilal killed five, four of who are Malayalis. The deceased were identified as VP Mahesh from Kozhikode, Jagat Vasudevan from Malappuram’s Perinthalmanna, Gaidar George from Chalakkudy in Thrissur, Akhl Reghu from Tahalassery in Kannur and Telangana native Suman Rajanna.
The group was travelling from Salmabad to Muarraq after Onam celebrations held at Al Hilal Medical Centre when a cleaning truck collided with the car at 10 pm on the Sheikh Kalifa Bin Salman Highway. All the deceased were employees of the said hospital.
The bodies are currently stored at Salmaniya Hospital mortuary.
