New Delhi : Khalistan will carry out Hamas-model attack in India, said head of its banned feeder organisation Sikhs for Justice , Gurupatwant Singh Pannun. The audio clip of the threat was released in which Pannun demands that India withdraw from Punjab and allow it to establish an independent Sikh state - Khalistan.
Pannun further says he will teach Prime Minister a lesson and vindicate Nijjar’s killing. One can draw parallels between Punjab and it’s longstanding conflict and that between Palestine and Israel. Pannun warned of dire consequences if India continued its control of Punjab, adding that, he will teach Prime Minister a lesson and avenge Nijjar’s killing.
Backdrop : The murder of Khalistan leader Hardeep Sing Nijjar in Canada in June outraged the Sikh community and drew wedge between Canada and India, with former blaming govt agents from India for the homicide. India denies the allegation.
