Asset Homes' apartments cross the 500 MW pa mark in solar power generation

Kochi : Adv. M. Anilkumar, Mayor, Corporation of Cochin, inaugurated a solar power plant at Asset Le Grande, a luxury apartment project at Kadavanthra in Kochi. Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said it was a pleasure to know that Le Grande is the seventh Asset Homes project to have installed a solar power plant. S Jayakumar, President, Owners' Association, said the newly-installed 54 KW solar power plant will meet all of the common-area requirements at the apartment project including elevator, lights and water pump. Sunil Kumar V, Managing Director, Asset Homes, said with this new plant, the total solar power generation capacity of Asset Homes' apartments have crossed the 500 MW mark per year. In addition to the financial benefits for apartment owners, the solar power plants at the various Asset Homes' apartments contribute a lot to the environment, he added. The new plant at Le Grande will return its investment of Rs.35 lakh within four years, he said.
