Kochi: Gentleman Chit Funds Company (India) Pvt Ltd, one of the leading chit fund companies in central Kerala, has completed 25 years of organic business growth. At a function held in Ernakulam Press Club, Siddique, Malayalam cinestar and Gentleman's brand ambassador for the last 7 years unveiled the company's new logo. Speaking on the occasion, Babu Kesavan, Managing Director, Gentleman Chit Funds said within these 25 years, the company has serviced more than 5 lakh customers and has crossed the Rs.300 cr mark in business in FY22-23. "Most of our customers are business customers and from the middle income group. We attribute our sustainable growth to the trust we enjoy from them through the transparent operations of our business," he added. The company was established in 1998 in Thalayolaparambu, Kottayam and has ten branches now spread across three districts in central Kerala.
He also said, as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, the company will build houses for ten financially challenged families within the operational area of its ten branches. Beneficiaries will be chosen based on their financial status and without any religious, caste or political considerations. "All of these tenn houses are targeted to be complete within 2 years and the company has earmarked Rs.1 crore for these," Babu Kesavan said.
The company will also shift its headquarters to the 75000 sq ft G-Mall in Thalayolaparambu, which is being built to mark the 25th anniversary.
Presently, the company operates chits in business class, Janapriya, Dhanasree and Akshaya in addition to multi-division chits. The branches in Kottayam, Ernakulam and Alappuzha districts include Thalayolaparambu, Cherthala, Ernakulam, Thripunithura, Alappuzha, Haripad, Eramalloor, Ettumannoor, Kayamkulam and Mavelikkara. In 2023, Gentleman wants to open branches in Thodupuzha, Muvattupuzha and Pala as well.
Speaking at the media conference, cinestar Siddique said he has been associating with the group for more than 7 years now and it is the transparent operations of the company which made this long standing association possible. "The group mixes business and social service well and the present project to build ten houses is part of this commitment," he said.
