Amid red flags by hundreds of thousands sprawling the skyline, the day will mark end to the historic conclave - its rallies and public meetings and all - with resolutions charting endeavours for three years ahead.

A K G  Nagar in Jawahar Stadium is all set. Countless red flags are flying. The ground and stage is arranged in a way that heralds the excellence of the working class. The rally and public meeting in connection with the 23rd  Party Congress of the CPI-M will be held in this venue. This stadium can occupy more or less one lakh people. But lakhs of people will reach for witnesses and listen to the meeting. Elaborate arrangements are being done to satisfy the needs of party workers, sympathisers and well-wishers who are coming for the event.Taking into account the innumerable number of masses gathering in the concluding public meeting, public procession has been cancelled.

A  portrait of the scene from the struggle life of A K G is placed at the gate of the Nagar. In the background there are coal and agricultural workers. Stage is set in the plane of a sickle and hammer statue which is  12 feet high. A huge pandal is also arranged as probability for rain is prevailing.  A  big picture which includes profiles  of   commiunist leaders is another attraction on the pavilion.

   The red volunteer march will begin at 3pm from near Nayanar Academy.. Though more than a quarter of lakh red volunteers are there in the district, only selected 1000 male and 1000 female red volunteers  will march. Politburo and central committee members and delegates together will follow the volunteer march to the Jawahar Stadium.  Sitharam Yechury, Prakash Karat,  S Ramachandran Pillai, Pinarayi Vijayan, Manik Sarkar, Brinda Karat, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and M A Baby will address the rally.
