The flex board prepared in Tamil by CPI -M Kannur town east local committee welcoming Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin

Calling for opposition unity, Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and former Union Minister K V Thomas will attend the seminar on `Centre- State relations' along with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday. CPI-M State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will also attend the seminar being conducted as a part of 23rd CPI-M party congress.

Stalin's participation in the seminar comes with high regard in the present scenario, especially when the BJP led Union government is trying to endanger the federal structure of the Indian constitution. This sends a message to the rest of the opposition parties in terms of opposition unity. Especially where two southern states come hand in hand in terms of co-operation.

Neglecting the stringent, conservative ideology of KPCC, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister K V Thomas also will participate . He said that the seminar carries national importance. K V Thomas is firm that the threats of disciplinary actions by KPCC President K Sudhakaran will not alienate him from being a Congress person. Attendence in  the seminar will only broaden the opposition unity which is necessary to bring down the Modi government, he says.
