Well Med Trip ropes in Indian healthcare providers including Ayurvedic to global arena

Mauritius/Kochi: Promoted by Kerala and UAE-based entrepreneur Kamal Muhammed in Madagascar in 2016, Well Med Trip, a healthcare solutions provider announced its decision to base their global operations in Mauritius. In a function held at Hennessy Park Hotel, Port Louis, the capital city of the Indian Ocean island nation known for its marvelous beaches, luxury resorts, natural attractions and good healthcare facilities, the headquarters facility was inaugurated by Mr. R. N. Ghunowa, well-known Mauritian edupreneur in the presence of Kamal Muhammed, CEO, among others. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kamal Muhammed said the operations of the company are spread across Mauritius, Madagascar and other Indian Ocean Islands, India, UAE and Africa. “We have already been partnered with multispecialty hospitals, clinics for modern healthcare services along with authentic Ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, homeopathy, siddha and unani streams of traditional therapies and systems of holistic medicines in Kerala to be provided through associates present across the regions. 

He also said the company has been tied up with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai; Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital and Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Hospital from Kerala for providing both modern and holistic healthcare services.

Mr. Kamal Muhammed said the company aims to deliver personalized care and services at all touchpoints to ensure the utmost safety and comforts of patients during travel, throughout and post treatments. “Authentic Ayurveda treatment is a specialized service and with our traditional roots in Kerala and connections with established Ayurveda centers in India, Well Med Trip plans to set up a state-of-the-art authentic Ayurveda treatment center in Neendapara near Neriamangalam on the banks of river Periyar. The one acre plot where we are setting up the facility is on the banks of river Periyar in the district of Ernakulam bordering Idukki.”

He also said medical tourism is one of the fastest growing segments in the world and it is of prime importance for tourist destinations to have modern medicine and treatment facilities complimented by personal wellness programs and traditional therapies. “People from various countries travel for medical treatments and wellness, primarily for better services, acceptability, avoiding the long waits in their home country and to avail super specialty treatments at affordable rates. India offers high-quality medical treatments at much lower costs, making them attractive for those who are ready to travel for the best medical and wellness care,” he added.

Dr Prem Jagyasi, a globally acclaimed speaker, author and success coach, led a masterclass on Medical and Wellness Tourism during the event.
